Stella
Group 1 - Mikoto, Suigintō
Group 2 - Yuki, Saten Ruiko
Group 3 - Azusa, Fate
Group 4 - Kagami, Shana
Group 5 - Taiga, Holo
Group 6 - Hina, Illyasviel
Group 7 - Mio, Tomoyo
Group 8 - Uiharu, Rika
Group 9 - Hitagi, C.C.
Group 10 - Nadeko, Rin
Group 11 - Saber, Mai
Group 12 - Yui, Mikuru

The highlighted groups will be participating in the 1st day of the preliminaries so I'll try to anaylze as good as I can.

Group 1 Tachibana Kanade vs. Sakura Kyōko vs. Tōwa Erio vs. Hotogi Shirayuki vs. Reki vs. Inui Sana vs. Takakura Himari

This group is exciting because Kanade vs Kyōko and Erio are tough nuts. Kanade went 49-0 to end the regular season just to lose in the semifinals last year. Erio was in the talks of being a great character this year and Kyōko is a finalist in AST 2011. While this would pose an advantage to the 3 of them, I'm sure Reki, Sana, Himari and Shirayuki won't give in easily. They'll try to make it a fight.

Group 2 Gokou Ruri ( Kuroneko ) vs. Mikazuki Yozora vs. Tomoe Mami vs. Suzutsuki Kanade vs. Shimada Minami vs. Shinonome Nano vs. Tsugumi

Kuroneko might just hang on because her opponents don't look that all imposing except for Mami, the 2011 AST champion. Will we see surprises from Yozora, Kanade, Minami, Nano and Tsugumi?

Group 3 Eucliwood Hellscythe vs. Kaname Madoka vs. Ika-Musume vs. Kasugano Sora vs. Oikawa Tsurara vs. Kunieda Aoi vs. Ayase Chihaya

Will Eucliwood be able to hang on since her series won't start again until spring. Madoka is still fresh from last year and Ika-Musume, who lost a 3 way match with Sena and Holo, will look to bounce back from last year after a quarterfinals appearance in AST. Sora, despite the criticism she gets, has her fans supporting her back. Chihaya and Aoi look promising as they were in talks of being here but will they pull off a surprise for us?

Group 4 Yui vs. Fear Kubrick vs. Shionji Yūko (Alice) vs. Himeji Mizuki vs. Yune vs. Tsurugi Minko vs. Inami Mahiru

This might be a tossup as Yui doesn't feel that all dominating even with her having a match with these girls. No one expected Alice to do that good in nominations. Minko and Yune are good bets. Inami and Himeji might pull off a surprise on us.

Group 5 Nakamura Yuri vs. Honma Meiko vs. Konoe Subaru vs. Ayuzawa Misaki vs. Shinomiya Ayase vs. Takahara Ayumi vs. Morishima Haruka

Will Yuri be able to survive? Menma was in talks to make it this year. Subaru, Misaki, Ayase and Ayumi are fairly good bets too. Haruka is the underdog for the match. Will the leader of the SSS make it to the next round or will others steal her thunder?

Group 6 Charlotte Dunois vs. Gasai Yuno vs. Matsumae Ohana vs. Taneshima Poplar Shinonono Hōki vs. Kisaragi Chihaya vs. Wendy Marvell

This is a good one because anyone not named Charlotte can strike at anytime and may win this group. Yuno, Ohana and Chihaya were in talks last year of making it. Taneshima and Wendy might pull off a surprise. Hōki can cause the split to Charlotte so that other people might make it alive.

Group 7 Akiyama Mio vs. Sakagami Tomoyo vs. Nymph vs. Konjiki no Yami vs. Kawashima Ami vs. Kuchiki Rukia vs. Tsukimiya Ayu

If you're Yami, Ami, Rukia and Ayu, this group is the one you wouldn't want to go to. Nymph may have had 11 wins in the course of 2 seasons but she might pull a very big upset if her fans can get together. Mio was a tiara winner, a necklace holder and once won KBM so she has the winning attitude and the strength to compete with her opponents. Tomoyo has also proven herself that she is a worthy competitor and that she will crush anyone in her way.

Group 8 Suzumiya Haruhi vs. Furukawa Nagisa vs. Lucy Heartfilia vs. Furude Rika vs. Ryōgi Shiki vs. Uiharu Kazari vs. Evangeline A.K. McDowell

I would say that Lucy and Shiki are the ones that I can call oddballs. They don't really have much experience in these kinds of contests unlike Uiharu and Eva. Rika can compete and Nagisa can be in the middle of the pack. Haruhi is a proven contestant so let's see how it goes.

Group 9 Senjougahara Hitagi vs. C.C. vs. Ikaros vs. Ibuki Fūko vs. Shinku vs. Yin vs. Kōzuki Kallen

Hitagi can call herself lucky to be in this group. Besides Yin and Ikaros, the others have been here before so I think that I can call it experience. CC and Kallen might split the votes so here's hoping for a good match.

Group 10 Sengoku Nadeko vs. Tōsaka Rin vs. Ichinose Kotomi vs. Takamachi Nanoha vs. Chrome Dokuro vs. Hanato Kobato vs. Saginomiya Isumi

Dokuro, Kobato and Isumi are unlucky to be with Nadeko, Rin, Kotomi and Nanoha. Nanoha can pull of wins without asking her and she'll find a way to win. Kotomi proved that she can fight and not neglected. Rin and Nadeko have to face each other in this group.

Group 11 Saber vs. Sanzen'in Nagi vs. Last Order vs. Hirasawa Ui vs. Enma Ai vs. Kawasumi Mai vs. Chii

This will be a test of strength for Saber as she fights Nagi, Last Order, Ui, Ai, Mai, Chii - all of which are proven contestants. She shouldn't have trouble with some of them.

Group 12 Hirasawa Yui vs. Louise Françoise le Blanc de la Vallière vs. Kagura vs. Asahina Mikuru vs. Sōryū (Shikinami) vs. Asuka Langley vs. Ayanami Rei vs. Isayama Yomi

The biggest bets will be on Yui, Louise and Mikuru. I don't see Kagura making it, Shinikami, Asuka, Rei and Yomi are almost unheard of because especially Asuka and Rei might split their votes.
